Discover Bundoran brochure 2016 launched

Discover Bundoran, the tourism promotion partnership for the seaside town, have launched their new brochure and event guide for 2016.

Discover Bundoran Brochure 2016

The 44 page brochure was revealed at an event on Friday 8th January in the Holyrood Hotel to an enthusiastic attendance of local business operators and tourism providers.  It is packed full of information on all of the different activities available for all visitors to Bundoran in 2016 as well as a comprehensive business directory containing listings for over 100 businesses in the town.

Speaking on the night, Bundoran Tourism Officer Shane Smyth said it had been a great 2015 season for the town and that there was no reason to think any differently about the coming year.   The seaside town had its fair share of publicity in the past year including national coverage on UTV Ireland, RTE, TV3, magazines, newspapers and social media where one photo of Tullan Strand was retweeted by the Travel Channel twitter account to its 1.3 million followers.

The cover photo of the brochure was provided by Mark Maguire of Hexicam Aerials and shows a superb photo of the town taken from just above the Roguey Walk.

Cllr Sean McEniff, Chairman of Discover Bundoran said “we’ve had a great 2015 season and we look forward to an exceptional 2016 season.  We have lots of things happening in Bundoran for all the family and through our Discover Bundoran website and social media channels I’m confident that everyone will be satisfied with what our small town has to offer in the year going forward.  I’m also looking forward to working with Donegal County Council on new tourism initiatives this year.”

Gaye McGoldrick, Branch Manager, AIB Ballyshannon said “We are grateful to the Discover Bundoran team for giving us the opportunity to sponsor this event and AIB are delighted to be associated with the launch of the 2016  Discover Bundoran Brochure.”

Discover Bundoran will also support Donegal County Council with their efforts for centenary events as well as staging a number of events that are now a staple of the annual calendar including the greening of the town for St Patrick’s Day,  Easter Egg Painting, Pumpkin Carving Competition and more.
